Irish researchers investigated potential
role of Mycobacterium paratuberculosis (Map) in Crohn's disease by attempting
to detect it in Crohn's and non-Crohn's granulomas. They published their
findings in the November issue of Gut.

A potential vaccine for Crohn's disease A vaccine
developed by researchers at St George's Hospital, London, against Mycobacterium
avium subspecies paratuberculosis (MAP), is being heralded as a future
possible cure for Crohn's disease. The vaccine may be ready to enter
